Sadly my car decided to break down this year so I wasn't able to make it for the
Sunday performances. Anyway here's my highlights from Friday and Saturday

Across the Moss

Calum Robinson and Roisin Boadle are both talented young musicians that have developed their talents as multi instrumentalists with the aid of the Folkus workshops.

Watch out for them in the future!

Roy Bailey

Another Fylde favourite (see Fylde 2001 Gallery) who continues to delight the audiences!

Eric Bogle and John Munro

I never tire of listening to Eric Bogle, as well as his immense collection of 'classics' he always manages to produce new material to add to this collection and this year was no exception where he was accompanied by John Munro (who also appeared last year with Colcannon)

Asif Iqbal and Ali Zaidi

Based in Blackburn Asif and Ali spend much time teaching sitar and tabla to the local youth community. Their appearance on the Saturday Marine Hall concert was well received by all

Real Time

Fortunately the earlier rumours have now been dismissed and Real Time are continuing to perform together. Indeed they've even added Tom Roseburgh to their ranks so organisers get contacting them, and enjoy superb vocal harmonies backed up by Joe's outstanding fiddle and mandolin and Tom's keyboard accompaniment

Pete Skinner

An excellent guitar and banjo player who can be seen as a member of the Ian Gartside Band and Penny Black caught on his way to get some food in between Alan Bell's punishing schedule (That's what he told me to put!)

Roam

My good friends who continue to get rave reviews wherever they play and will hopefully soon be performing to bigger audiences. Watch this space!

Pat Ryan and Ken Howard

Pat has appeared at numerous Fylde Festivals over the years and always goes down well while her husband Ken provides superb accompaniment on cittern, guitar and bouzouki

John Tams and Barry Coope

One of my highlights of the weekend! John and Barry continue to tour over the next few months and continue to go from strength to strength. A wonderful evening's entertainment which left you wanting more

Tanglefoot

One of my favourite Canadian Bands!
In this shot honorary member Dave Jones joins them for their finale. I always come out their shows with a smile on my face - brilliant!

Threlfall, Ellison & Edwards

I enjoyed hearing Jane singing at Fylde some years ago as a 'young singers' winner but was completely knocked out with the harmonies that she and Amanda produce when accompanied by Martin Ellison former Ran Tan Box player and Roger Edwards founder of Garstang Morris.

The Witches of Elswick

Four young ladies who met up in Newcastle when they moved in together and they now sing acappella harmony with attitude and base their material on the traditional songs of these islands.
